Open every Friday and Saturday night from 11 pm to 6 am, this Anglican church built in 1874 now houses the Spirito Club.
Story
More than two centuries ago, Anglicans settled in Brussels, first gathering in private homes and then, after the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, meeting at various places of worship in the capital.
The son and grandson of the first Anglican preacher, Evan Jenkins, were in charge of building the Church of Resurrection, which was opened in 1874, 144 years ago.
In 1958, the building was abandoned by the Anglicans in favour of another site following a number of mergers within their church. On 9 December 2009, after renovation work, Spirito opened at this venue, by now more than a century old, for your enjoyment…
